What is this?

For most people one of the biggest moments in life is getting their first car, dog, or maybe a house. For me the big moment was none of those it was being taken to one side and being given a brand new BBC box. WOW, well that was it, was there now anything left to achieve?

Getting a BBC box was the biggest moment of acceptance into your local BBC station imaginable. The symbolism of being entrusted with your own box was almost too much to bear. After months of hanging around, editing, making a little cash here and there it all came down to this - I was now part of the team because I had a box.

This box is still full of things, all media related, and I wonder how many people now know what it even is or what it was for?
